Charities
Signature Home Lending believes that everyone can make a difference. Charities are a great way
to bring causes and communities together. Signature Home Lending will donate $25 to one of the
charities below or to a charity of your choice upon closing your loan!
Atlanta Humane Society
The Atlanta Humane Society is much more than a shelter--it is a place filled with
unconditional love. We are a haven for the unwanted and abandoned with no time limit on
hope--a haven with a heart.
Mission:
To prevent neglect, abuse, cruelty, and exploitation of animals and to assure that their
interests and well-being are fully, effectively and humanely protected by an aware and caring
Society.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated
to funding blood cancer research, education and patient services. Since its founding in 1949,
the Society has invested more than $550.8 million for research specifically targeting blood
cancers.
Mission:
Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of
patients and their families. The Society has dedicated itself to being one of the top-rated
voluntary health agencies in terms of dollars that directly fund our mission.
Bert's Big Adventure
Bert's Big Adventure is a special trip designed to provide families a magical weekend at Walt
Disney World. These families have children, aged 5 to 12, who are experiencing a chronic or
terminal illness, live in the Bert Show listening area and have a proven financial need.
This trip is much more than the experience of hugs from Mickey, awe-inspiring shows or the
honor of being Grand Marshals in the Magic Kingdom Main Street Parade. It is the opportunity
to provide these families the gift of time together; a chance to escape hospitals, protocols,
intense scheduling and difficult daily challenges. At its very core, Bert's Big Adventure offers
these families time to create a legacy of memories in "The Happiest Place on Earth."
Mission:
Bert's Big Adventure is a non-profit organization designed to allow children with a chronic or
terminal illness ages 5 to 12 years of age who meet the criteria to experience a magical weekend
with their families at Walt Disney World as our guests.
Each year, Bert's Big Adventure will take these children to Walt Disney World with their
parents and siblings. Because of their special needs and financial strain, this is an
experience that many of these children and families would not be able to know without the help
of Bert's Big Adventure.
Our vision is to charter a flight with these children, their families, and a medical staff to
Walt Disney World. Upon arrival in Florida, Bert's Big Adventure will provide hotel
accommodations, Walt Disney World park passes, transportation to and from the park and meal
coupons to our guests.
